I’m doing my research topic on the Decalogue. Quite interesting. One of the things that I’ve come across is the concept of God’s jealousy. I found out that it was related to God’s zeal along with a sense of protectiveness over his relationship with his people. The word for God’s covenant loyalty/love, hesed, also has this sense of zeal underlying it. And that blows me away.
Well, back to Pentateuch. Sorry for the short blurb. I’ll go back and revise this entry at a later date.
